If you want to record audio data into SONAR from the SD-20 the you either need to find a way to get the Optical connection made to you laptop or the audio connections. That would allow you to record MIDI data in SONAR.

If the SD-20 passes the incoming MIDI data from your keyboard out the USB port to your PC then it should appear as both a MIDI in and out port within SONAR. You need to get MIDI data from your keyboard into SONAR. The whole point of having programs like SONAR is to do away with devices like the SD-20 which have become some what obsolete unless you want to play live in which case you could just connect them to an amp and play away. In this case your SD-20 is recognized as one such port. Your keyboard is just a generic device which should be hooked up to a MIDI in on your PC. SONAR will recognize your SD-20 as a MIDI device but not your keyboard.
